„Warum sollen wir vor einem Hut Angst haben?“

„Man sieht nur mit dem Herzen gut. Das Wesentliche ist für die Augen unsichtbar.“ Es gibt wohl kaum jemanden, der diesen Ausspruch nicht kennt und für all jene Philister da daußen: Es ist ein Zitat aus “Der kleine Prinz”.  Saint-Exupéry hat mit diesem Werk eine wahre Legende geschaffen- jene eines kleinen Prinzen der- wie einst Sokrates-die richtigen Fragen stellt, aber wohl nicht um den Menschen zu zeigen, das sie nichts wissen, sondern, um ihnen zu zeigen, dass Freundschaft und Menschlichkeit wichtig sind und lernt dabei sogar selber, dass auch er einen falschen Weg gewählt hat! Es geht um ein Werk mit Charakter und genau das haben die Darsteller der gestrigen Aufführung im Schuberttheater rübergabracht. Von” Zeichne mir ein Schaf!” bis hin zu “Ich werde wie tot aussehen!” haben sie Charm, Humor, doch vor allem den vorhin genannten Charakter perfekt dargestellt und wäre der kleine Prinz nicht bereits ein Stern am Himmel, so wäre er es spätestens gestern geworden! Ich kann euch nur empfehlen, euch dorthin zu begeben und ihr werdet wahrlich in eine andere Welt gezogen- eine Welt in der Freundschaft, Sehnsucht und vor allem Sehnsucht nach der Freundschaft eine wichtige Rolle spielen! “THE JOURNEY” – a unique art installation against Sex TRAFFICKING

Trafficking is Torture.
Every year thounsand of young women are lured to the UK and brutally coerced into a life of sexual exploitation. Bought and sold, they are not visibly branded or shackled, but trapped in local massage parlours and behind the respectable net curtains of suburbia, they are forced to service punter after punter.
These women are not sex objects, but daughters, sisters and mothers with the same hopes and aspirations as you – to be happy, to live in peace, and to love life. By bearing witness to their experience and changing government policy, we can transform a degrading journey, into one of hope and possibility.

“The Journey” stopped this week in Vienna, Heldenplatz, thanks the Helen Bamber Foundation, the artists Michael Howells, Sandy Powell and Anish Kapoor and Emma Thompson and Sam Roddick, who all put togehter.

 

This art installation represent 7 stages of  Elenas Journey in 7 Containers:

1. HOPE. How it began –> She used to love school. Things were better til her father died. A woman came to the market stall and asked her “Do you want to go the England?”

2. JOURNEY. A darkroom, Noises. –> She was beaten, raped and at the end sold.

3. UNIFORM. Look in a mirror, and you will see YOURSELF as one of these sex victims –> A total diffrent ME, she wasn’t the same person anymore.

4. BEDROOM.  A disgusting smell, it’s dirty, there are bloodstains on the bed –> Her Workplace.

5. CUSTOMER. Photos of the customers, all types of men are customers, social class – doesn’t matter.

6. STIGMA. Is the black hole painted or is it deep? –> The black emotional hole.

7. RESURRECTION. The government said that’s a lie. She talked and wrote about her feelings, unforgetable impressions and her JOURNEY.

A really good made installtion, GÄNSEHAUT GARANTIERT… you have to see it, but be carful and take your time…

My circle of friend told me about the FANTASTIC online community deviantArt… I wasn’t very curious about this kind of artistic community, because in this point I’m very oldfashioned… Artistic communities like Pulchri Studio, Independent Performance Group, Art-Club or Andy Warhols famous FACTORY are THE artistic STAGE for modern, creative Artists of every single Century…
Of course the WORLD WIDE WEB helps suchs communities, but a “pure” online community like deviantArt isn’t a meeting point for good, serious Artists…and that’s for sure…
Yesterday I visited deviantArt.com….and I was dissapointed…
It’s all about (95%) Digital Art…it’s okay….but it’s boring…
But the worst of all – there is a lot of rubbish…a lot of….a “very” lot of…garbage….published…by some “ARTISTS”.

So ME, MYSELF and I will never ever visit the page again and will never ever publish something on this page…However…

Generally art is a (product of) human activity, made with the intention of stimulating the human senses as well as the human mind… by transmitting emotions and/or ideas. Beyond this description, there is no general agreed-upon definition of art, since defining the boundaries of “art” is SUBJECTIVE.

 Nevertheless…I’m asking myself everyday…WHERE IS “THE FACTORY” OF THE 21TH CENTURY?

So therefore I found it polite to mention him(C.D.) and the story of the old Ebenezer Scrooge, who changes his life with the help of three ghosts, who(which?) show him the past, present and future!
